If you are wedding planning and to the point of where you’re really considering if you want to do a first look or not, this one’s for you!
I’ve written in the past about all the benefits of First Looks (Read this post HERE before you go any further!) and today’s is just one of the MANY! Some are more obvious than others, but I think this one is something that not as many brides think about.
Here are just a few reasons why a First Look can lead to stunning bride & groom portraits!
1. The Perfect Mood
When you have your First Look, you two will be hugging, kissing, and sweet on each other. There might be a few tears, exchanges of the sweetest looks, compliments on the dress, etc. After all, it’s the first time you see each other on your wedding day! Following your First Look, you will both be in the BEST and sweetest mood, which will transfer right into your portraits that we do immediately afterwards. Trust me, it makes a difference!
2. You’re Stressing Less
With a First Look, your portraits will normally take place with plenty of time before the ceremony. It’s planned out, nobody is rushing because we’ve built in buffer time, there’s nobody waiting for you at cocktail hour, etc.! Without all that worry, couples just tend to enjoy this time even more, and we can get some beautiful portraits that way!
3. No onlookers
Some couples are fine with an audience, but some aren’t! When we do your portraits after the First Look when nobody is around and guests haven’t arrived yet, there won’t be an audience of people (or rowdy groomsmen!) making noises at you, clapping during poses, whistling, etc.! š Don’t get me wrong, it’s all part of the fun of a wedding day, but it can totally be distracting for the couple!
Without all of that, you’ll feel more at ease! And when you’re totally comfortable, that will show through in your images.
