Yes, we’re back! At The Covenant, that is. I’ve been waiting an entire year to photograph this space, and now I’m lucky enough to have shot two weddings within two weeks there!
A rainy, gloomy forecast changed its mind to be a gorgeous summer day. We walked into the mansion, which was full of light and the hustle & bustle of a wedding morning. The light colored walls, intricate details, and natural light that floods the space is always a beautiful sight. Brandi and her girls were getting their hair done and final touches of makeup upstairs in the bridal suite, and down the hall, Collin & the groomsmen were also preparing for the day.\
Even though we photograph the same venues, each wedding day is still so unique. From the details, to the personalities, to the families and the traditions. There were so many things that stood out about Collin & Brandi’s day. One of them was their love for Collin’s son, Aiden. The way they included him, priorities him and made him a highlight of the day was so sweet, and said so much about them and their relationship.
The second thing, was their family traditions. Collin’s mom, Kelly let me know that they’ve had a tradition of celebrating other significant milestones on wedding days. On Brandi & Collin’s day, there was also a birthday AND an anniversary! They planned the sweetest surprise birthday cake during the reception. This says a lot about how selfless and loving their family is. It was such a joy to see that.
We loved every minute of Brandi and Collin’s wedding day! They most likely on the beach somewhere for their honeymoon at the moment, but I’m happy to share just a few of our favorite moments from their day. I hope you enjoy seeing their wedding from our perspective!
