Even though this is Wisconsin, we don’t always have a white winter. Typically, we get a few really big snow storms, but snow isn’t always present.
But, we were given a MAJOR blizzard the day before Kate & Dan’s wedding! I have to admit, I’ve never been so nervous heading to a wedding! And it wasn’t because of the wedding itself… I was nervous about getting there! We didn’t only have snow, but lots of ice the night before so the roads were slick. Let’s just say I had my hands covering my eyes (don’t worry, Adam was driving) for a good portion of the ride there!!
We arrived to their getting ready location at the Osthoff Resort, and within minutes of stepping onto the property, knew the stress of the blizzard was ALL worth it… it felt like we walked into Narnia. This property is breathtaking during every season, and it was amazing to see it this way. The property was untouched with a fresh coat of snow, and was the most magical location for Dan & Kate! We took SO many portraits here, and although summer is my favorite season, I am so in love with these images!!
More than anything, we’re so happy that Kate & Dan loved their day. It was hard not to, with their best friends & family, a gorgeous, snowy landscape, and a perfectly planned day.
We have the privilege of working with the sweetest couples and these two are no exception.
Enjoy my favorites from this (snowy!) winter wedding!!
