If you follow me on Instagram, there is a good chance you’ve seen a lot of this! But if you don’t or if you like these type of personal updates, this post is for you!
I love sharing as much as possible about our lives: updates about our new house, Wesley shenanigans, family trips, holidays… I’ve learned that it makes me SO happy to have photos from all of these important parts of our lives! I don’t take my big camera everywhere with me, but I normally have it for all of the significant get-togethers and I’ll also grab it on random days at home. The results are always worth just a few minutes of shooting, because then I have all of this goodness to share with you!
Get ready to see a bunch of randomness, summer holidays, family camping trips, and nights hanging outside together! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
You have no idea how excited we were to have landscaping. It was a LOT more work than we anticipated to do the front of our home, but it made such a huge difference! Adam did a lot of the heavy lifting (while I may or may not have been sipping an Old Fashioned!) but I want credit for laying the mulch!
The first time we had most of our family to our new home was Memorial Day weekend. The weather wasn’t great but we still had fun!
My very favorite picture of Grandpa Tom. He was trying to get the toy from Wesley, and Wesley wouldn’t share. Too cute.
Enter: the 90+ degree days in Wisconsin. Wesley had a pool party!
Our grass finally started growing and it was magical to see.
I always attempt to get at least 3-4 good portraits of Adam & I in the summer time! These were taken right off Main Street in our new hometown. A willow tree and a little bit of glow is all you need!
Someday I’ll actually hire someone to do these for us so I don’t have to run back and forth from my tripod (in heels!)
The bottom photo on the left is my new favorite of Wesley. I can’t wait to frame it!
We had one of our Fourth of July celebrations at my parent’s house. It’s tradition for them to have everyone over and play games, eat, and do some fireworks!
We also hosted our neighbors for the fourth! Luckily Sun Prairie had their fireworks on a different day than my parents, so we had a small group come over to grill out, watch the kids play in the sprinklers, and walk over to the fireworks. Also, these are our best friends from college, Abby and Joe and their cute kiddos! I LOVE that they came and we got a few photos of their family for them.
We were finally able to make it up north with Adam’s family to camp for a few days. They go to St. Germain and we go tubing, fishing, hang by the fire… it’s relaxing and nice to get away, even for just a few days. I don’t remember the last time Adam and I took more than one day off together before this, so just those three days were heaven for us. We’re terrible at taking time off, but it is really important to recharge and we were happy to do that on this family trip.
Adam’s parent’s bought the entire family paddle boards for Christmas so we could all use them up north. It was a sight to see that many people all paddle boarding out from this beach! We even had spectators from the campground watching us “race”!
No need to go anywhere for Eagle watching in St. Germain. They fly right by you on the water, and also hang out on the beach?!
