This beautiful elopement was the first wedding I had the privilege of shooting post-quarantine. And it was a dream. Truly.
Ted and Kirby are mutual friends of ours. I actually met them a few years ago when Ted and Adam worked together. Adam told me that Ted and Kirby were planning on eloping in Paris, but then COVID-19 shook up those plans. I know if I was planning an elopement in Paris and then was told I couldn’t do it, I’d be devastated. But after spending the morning celebrating with these two, it was so apparent how much they love and care for each other. It didn’t matter that they weren’t in Paris. Because they were with each other.
This day was all about Ted and Kirby. No more, and no less. It was perfect. We captured their vows at a beautiful park near their home. We wandered through the trails for portraits, and then to a beach nearby.
I know that elopements and micro-weddings are going to become a lot more popular this year, and I’m just so happy to show you how absolutely stunning they can be. After all, the size of your guest list really has nothing to do with the beauty of your day! As you can see, an intimate wedding is just as special as a traditional wedding, and should be celebrated just the same!
Ted and Kirby, congratulations to you! I’m so honored and humbled that you chose me to preserve this special day for you, and I hope you enjoy just a handful of my favorites!
I was SO excited about the details they chose! The sapphire ring ties in so perfectly to Ted’s navy suspenders and bow-tie! I couldn’t have planned it better myself!
They smiled at each other this way the entire ceremony. So sweet!
One of my favorite portraits! Kirby, you are so gorgeous girl!
Just because you eloped doesn’t mean you can’t have a First Dance together 🙂 The perfect way to wrap up our time together. Cheers to you, Ted and Kirby!
