A Summer Engagement at a Private Estate

June 15, 2020

You probably wouldn’t guess it by looking at these, but this location was actually our backup plan! We originally planned for downtown Madison at the Capitol, but we switched plans and did it here instead. And boy am I glad we did!

This is Michaela’s aunt’s house, which sits beautifully on Lake Mendota. The views are just incredible and we had the BEST weather for their shoot! It was seriously perfect and so peaceful! Eventually we made our way to downtown Middleton, which is full of cute shops, restaurants, and spots to shoot at.

I knew I was going to just love Michaela from the very first time we spoke. She thanked me for “working overtime on a Friday!” when I answered an email of hers past normal working hours. She notices and appreciates the little things about people, and I think that is wonderful. Blake is one lucky guy to have snagged such a great girl! 🙂

These two are just so sweet and I cannot wait for their wedding! It will be this January, our first 2021 wedding and I already can’t wait! I can already tell by how amazing these two are together that it’s going to be one incredible and special day.

I hope you enjoy my favorites from their engagement!
