Rain on a wedding day… that thought makes most brides-to-be sick with nerves, stress, and worry. Nicole & Josiah’s big day fell on one of the hottest weekends of the year. We had sunny skies when we arrived that make a FAST change to a torrential downpour just as we started shooting details and the bridal party began to get ready. It was a little crazy! But I looked at Nicole, worried that she would be upset, and I saw how calm & happy she was. If you’ve spent any time around Nicole, you know that she is like a breath of fresh air – so positive, happy, and always smiling! She brought that SAME energy to her wedding day, and she and Josiah celebrated in the absolute best way!!
After the ceremony, we made the scenic drive through the rolling country hills to The Bowery property. This venue is a GORGEOUS modern farmhouse, and from the moment we arrived, we used every inch of the space to create gorgeous bridal party portraits! We could honestly shoot EVERY wedding here because of all the greenery and amazing views! It showcases our photography style so perfectly! Like some kind of miracle, the rain stopped just in time for us to start shooting! The wedding party showed up and I let out a major sigh of relief knowing we would be able to get everything done outside and right on schedule.
Nicole and Josiah were so incredible and we could tell that they trusted us to do whatever we needed to in order to create beautiful images. That’s such an amazing gift to a photographer! We have LOVED working with these two from the moment we met them last year. We can’t tell you how thankful we are for couples like them!!
Their reception included a German tradition filled with lots of laughs, SO much dancing, and even a hot-dog cart. It just felt so much like “them” and we loved capturing Nicole and Josiah celebrating with all of their closest friends & family.
Nicole and Josiah, I hope you love scrolling through a few of my favorite images of your beautiful day! Enjoy!!
