Do these two look familiar?! They should! They’ve been on the blog a few times before! Their pre-Covid surprise proposal and their recent engagement session were incredible, but I don’t think anything could have compared to their wedding day…
If you’ve never experienced and Indian wedding before, I hope someday you get to. It’s hard to imagine the beauty, the details and preparation, the energy… it’s exhilarating and exciting. There’s so much going on all at once that you almost don’t know where to look first! There are so many important traditions and exchanges, important rituals, gift-giving, and more.
Rachana and Neil planned their wedding day at Rachana’s brother’s home in Mequon. Their property is stunning and it was the perfect location for their celebration. I started the day with the girls in the house getting Rachana ready with her bridal party and aunts. Adam was with Neil and the rest of the family outside for the Barat! There was music, horses, dancing… he had the fun job and I knew he would love it! The Barat is so much fun to experience!
The day couldn’t have been planned any better. Andrea at Events to a T did an incredible job of planning, and she and Molly coordinate everything so perfectly. I always LOVE working with this team and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to do that for Rachana and Neil’s big day!
I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorites from their wedding!
The details of her gown and jewelry were just stunning! She looks like an actual princess!
This is the beginning of the Barat! So much fun!
Loving the splashes of color everywhere! It was beautiful against the all-white tent!
These are a few of my favorite images. You can feel how important and emotional this was…
My favorite image from the entire day! I love how the draping and greenery frames them perfectly! This is actually Adam’s shot, so kudos to him!
This is the second wedding from this weekend where the girls had hoop bouquets! Love them!
We of course had to take a few portraits with their sweet pup, Diesel!
