You may remember Kara and Patrick from their pretty winter engagement session this past January. We just had a gorgeous snowfall and the white backdrop mixed with Lake Michigan’s gorgeous views were just dreamy.
On their wedding day, we had the opposite! A warm, sunny fall day at one of the Milwaukee area’s newest industrial venues – The Gage. With cream city brick and modern, black accents, this venue is as “Milwaukee” as they come!
Kara and Patrick decided to enjoy their wedding day just as bride and groom, without a bridal party. Whenever I photograph a wedding like this, the day just seems relaxed and focused on the bride & groom, which is a good thing. I also get lots of portrait time with them, which is a VERY good thing!
We left the venue to explore Wauwatosa for most of their portraits. We also had their pup Nash (AKA the guest of honor!) join us and the photos with them are so sweet! I kept saying that if Adam and I had Wesley when we got married, we absolutely would have (tried) to get photos with him! They’re part of the family, after all 🙂
I can’t say enough how sweet and kind kind Kara and Patrick are, and I feel so lucky and blessed to have captured such important memories for them. I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from their day. Enjoy!
