Ohh, 2020. What a ride.
Highs and lows and devastations and celebrations. It had it all for us. It’s a good thing I chose my 2020 word of the year as “persevere” because that’s exactly what I needed. Perseverance, and a whole lot of strength and determination.
I’ve been really excited to share this post with you all. As hard as this year was, I am PROUD of the work we did. I’m also stunned that we did much MORE than I could have ever anticipated. Never did I think I’d be an elopement photographer, but it happened! We had the chance to meet and get to know even more couples than planned. We worked with them all through challenges and difficulties and unknowns. And we also celebrated their days with joy and love and excitement. What a whirlwind!
We still shot quite a few weddings, many of them being smaller and more intimate, and incredibly special. We had LOTS of engagement sessions, a few seniors, and a handful of portraits as well. We explored some new venues, including The Osthoff Resort, The Carriage House, and a handful of private estates! All so, so gorgeous!
And in-between it all, we spent invaluable time with family. We had fun with friends. We started building a house (!!!) We struggled and we excelled, and we learned. This year taught us a lot, but above all, it taught me that I’m stronger than I think. It pushed me. I’m really grateful for that.
To my 2020 KS couples, THANK YOU. For hanging on. For your patience and kindness, your determination and grit, and for your support. I feel like with each one of you, we worked as a team to make each one of your days beautiful and joyful and perfect in their own way. I look through these photos and smile at each one of them, because I see the people in them and how incredible they are. I also can’t wait to celebrate with our originally-2020-now-turned-2021 KS couples! You know who you are, and I know how difficult it was to postpone a day you’ve been waiting for. But we can’t wait to see you again soon!! It is going to be such a great year!
I’m so happy seeing the work we created in 2020, and I’m so excited to share my TOP favorites with you from this year’s weddings and engagement session! Enjoy!
