A Classic Fall Wedding at Fete of Wales

October 8, 2019

She stood in the middle of the bridal suite, under the sparkling chandelier, having just been helped into her wedding gown. Lace detail. A floor length veil. A crystal hair piece. Every detail in place.

Big smiles and teary eyes filled the room.  And she said to us, “I think TJ is going to love it”.

We notice so many things about a wedding day.  There is always a uniqueness and certain moments that stand out.  While we were with TJ & Mandy, we noticed how much Jesus was a part of their day. He was present during the preceremomy prayers.  In their vows. And during the toasts from family & friends. TJ & Mandy’s faith is a big part of who they are as individuals, and now, a part of who they are together.

Mandy had a specific vision for the day.  She wanted specific things captured. After all, when the dress is hung, the candles are blown out, and the dance floor clears, these are the memories that will remain.  These images are the story of their wedding day. So we work hard to make sure everything is perfect. And this day, in our eyes, was complete perfection.

It was a beautiful afternoon at Fête of Wales, a stunning new venue that Joanna Gaines herself would be proud of.  The modern white exterior in contrast to the lush meadows and and prairie grasses is truly amazing!

I also have to mention the portrait locations on this property.  We love every wedding day, and I can make any location look beautiful just by finding good light, but I am a country girl at heart and LOVE shooting portraits in natural settings. At this property with Mandy & TJ, I was a kid in a candy store when it came to their bride & groom portrait time.  There were endless possibilities, and I think you’ll see that as you scroll through this post!!

It was a perfect fall day, a true miracle with all the rain we’ve had, and it made for one amazing wedding for these two.  Mandy & TJ are so incredibly loved, by us and everyone who meets them and we can’t wait to follow along on their new and greatest adventure together as husband & wife!!

These are just a small handful of my favorites from their day.  I could have included so much more but didn’t want to go too overboard! I hope you enjoy viewing their day from our perspective!!
