This year has taught me a lot of things, one of them being that I love small, intimate weddings! Big, grand weddings are beautiful, too. And actually more of what I’m used to shooting! I just didn’t know how much I’d love the simplicity and joy of an intimate wedding day until now.
Nicole and Anthony planned their fall wedding just south of the Milwaukee. Their ceremony took place at their church. I joined Nicole and her family before the ceremony to capture some beautiful bridal details and getting ready photos. Nicole had a few different pieces that were special to her – her grandmother’s ring and purse, the dress she made her flower girl, a photo for her bouquet, etc. I always love that!
Since this wasn’t a full wedding day, we didn’t have a TON of time for bride & groom portraits, but I must say I am SO happy with the variety we got! And, we were racing the rain showers that were rolling through. We had a few sprinkles but nothing a pretty clear umbrella couldn’t take care of and ended up with bright, joyful images even though the weather wasn’t cooperating. That’s a win!
We then joined the rest of their guests at Nicole and Anthony’s home! They setup a reception tent, DJ, and food in their backyard and it was just perfect. The gorgeous, blush and white florals looked so romantic against the white backdrop.
Nicole and Anthony, I hope you had the most wonderful day! It was such an honor to spend it with your closest friends and family and I’m so happy for you two! Congratulations, again newlyweds!
