Two years ago, I shot my first solo wedding. And I’ll be honest… I was terrified. I had the technical skills and the education needed to do it, but MAN. The pressure was unreal.
But after I photographed that day, I knew one thing: I could do it. And I WANTED it.
I wanted something more than a corporate office job. I wasn’t fulfilled being stuck in a cubicle all day without flexibility or decision-making power. I wanted passion and purpose in my job. I wanted unlimited growth potential. And I definitely didn’t want to waste a talent that I was given, always wondering what I could have done with it.
I wanted to use my gift of photography to celebrate a special, memorable time in someone’s life.
Fast forward to last fall, when I did it. I left my windowless cube. I gave myself the chance to do something more. It’s opened up so many opportunities for me already – more than I could have ever imagined in my first year as a full-time photographer.
I didn’t expect that the beginning of this year would look the way it did. I know a lot of us have done some soul-searching and “figuring out” of our priorities lately. Yeah, there’s been a lot of hardship rooted in this pandemic. More than I ever thought would be possible in such a short period of time, and I’m still in the dead middle of fighting through that. But for me, something that has been growing inside of me has started to bloom.
There’s nothing I love more than preserving amazing memories and special moments through images. And there’s a special time in my life that I remember like it was yesterday. Something that I think should be celebrated and honored. And these last few months have given me the time I needed to bring it to life…
I’m EXCITED to now offer an incredible experience to my Katie Schubert SENIORS!
Just saying that makes me smile. I feel so strongly that this is right for me. I can feel it. And it’s not something that I take lightly. I remember everything about my senior year: Friday football games, prom, senior events… it’s exciting and I loved every minute of it. And I can’t wait to have my #KatieSchubertSeniors in my life!
Getting to serve my incredible brides and now high school seniors is a gift. I stand by my commitment to provide an unforgettable experience + joyful, genuine images, and I’m thankful and pumped to continue doing that and SO excited to introduce you to Cassie! She is so sweet and absolutely stunning! We shot her session all around Sauk Prairie, where I grew up and also went to high school. I love every single one of her images and I’m so excited for her to start her senior year in the fall!
