Our first wedding of 2020. It’s already here and I can’t believe it. I haven’t shot a wedding since last November, but it felt SO good to get behind my camera again and share this special day with Charlie & Juna!! I’m so excited for them and you all to see it!

There were so many things that stood out about this wedding, it’s hard to choose favorites. When I first met Juna, she told me all about her plans for the wedding day (I love when brides get excited and share details about their dream day!) and she let me know that she is Albanian and there would be some cultural traditions at the wedding. Little did I know at the time, just how special those traditions and stories of their history would make this day.

Juna also explained how important family would be at their wedding. Of course, all of our brides & grooms love being surrounding by family and sharing this special day with them. But Charlie & Juna had this incredibly strong and special bond with all of their family. Some of them flew in from around the world to witness this day, and it was magical for everyone.

There are two things that make me so emotional while looking at their images. First, their incredible first look. It still brings tears to my eyes. This First Look is exactly what I mean when I tell brides “this is a really special moment” on their wedding day. The tears of joy from Charlie when he saw his shockingly beautiful bride were a highlight of the day.

Second, listening to Juna’s dad deliver his speech at their reception will forever remind me why I love this job. Listening to his stories about where their family started, and how far they’ve come… he captivated the entire room.

It was a pure blessing to be a part of Juna & Charlie’s day. I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorites!!
